Circle Time: Different experiences during this fun time include daily jobs, calendar, weather, and/or sharing thoughts with classmates. Theme related songs and finger plays are also learned.
Center Time: We believe that children learn through play. Our classroom is arranged to accommodate nine developmentally appropriate centers. During this time, children choose from a variety of activities including a sensory table, blocks, books, creative art, dramatic play, and more.
Snack Time: As children enjoy snacks provided by LFP, they practice table manners as well as develop social skills while they communicate with their peers.
Story Time: We read and share a variety of stories relating to the theme for the week.
Music & Movement: We love to move! Different experiences during this fun time include active and quiet songs with instruments, scarves, step-a-longs, and bean bags.
Group Time: At this time we use a variety of methods to work academically as a group. We complete a color sheet for the “Animated Alphabet” curriculum, play bingo, work on fine motor and hands-on activities to focus on academics in a fun way.
Outdoor Play: We end our day on the playground as weather permits. The children enjoy our outside play area, where they continue to develop social and gross motor skills along with sharing.
Spiritual Growth: Each day a new Bible story is presented. Christian songs will be learned along with an awareness of God and His presence in our lives.
Goals: LFP strives to provide an experience for children in a Christian-based, stimulating, challenging, no-pressure, fun environment. We encourage children to express themselves freely, to be creative, to communicate with others and to follow their natural instincts of discovery.
